Hello to you all,
I am not much of a blogger and I try to stay as far away as possible. Anyway, I would like to introduce you to Otter 6 and the stuffed animals which inhabit the beds of everyone.
Jessica has several stuffed animals. She has a turtle Pillow Pet named Sir Toto that has been with her since the beginning of the first round. But along the way she has acquired more. She purchased a large Woodstock from the Kohl’s next door to our Sam’s Club housing and not too long after that purchase I found an elongated Woodstock. Much to my surprise it was a squeaky dog toy. It was an excellent investment; it is loud and fun to hit people with. Last but not least, are the most recent editions the turtle triplets: Zippy, Zappy, and Zoomer. They are a large turtle and Woodstock family.
Brandi has a few stuffed animals. The first of which is Tutu- the turtle, but Tutu is a special turtle. He has a shell that projects stars and moons onto the ceiling and he changes from Red to blue, to orange, to green. The second stuffed animal of hers is Louco. Louco is a bear. He is from Louisville, Colorado, which is how we got his name.
Grace as our HAWL (Health and Wellness Liaison) was given a HAWL Box. This box contained a koala, who the team has named Wallace. He is passed around the group and has made his way around the beds of Otter 6.
Wallace is not the only adventurous one, we have two more animals that are passed between beds. The first being Harry, a small stuffed otter and the second being Suzie-Roo, a small stuffed kangaroo.
We all have our special items that we love, but the entire team was gifted small beanie-baby otters by one of our former co-workers at the Joint Field Office in Centennial, Colorado. It rounds out our collection bringing our total number of animals to 22. It might seem like a lot, but if something that you hold at night reminds you of home then it is worth it. Imagine how much better we feel surrounded by the little things that we have grown to love.
