A new feature of this blog is a question-and-answer interview with one of our members, known as the "Get To Know Us" section. This week and as the first participant, Grace has been kind enough to take the time to answer these questions. We hope you enjoy this new feature and enjoy reading more about us.

1. Where are you from? Burlington, VT
2. What is your birthday? November 26th
3. What is your college major/intended field of study? I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications with a focus on Media Studies, and I have received my Certificate in Sustainability.
4. What is your favorite food? Avocados! Nom nom NOMM.
5. What is your favorite quotation? “Well behaved women seldom make history.”
6. Who inspires you? My four deceased grandparents greatly inspire me. Each of them were extremely hardworking, knowledgeable, wise and caring people. Both of my grandfathers owned their own companies and both my grandmothers raised families of 6 and 8 children. I believe that I get my desire to want to be something great in this world because of them and have learned that to be successful you have to do so with passion and determination.
7. What is your dream job after this program? To be a pilot, work for NASA, or any job that pays me to travel.
8. What are your two biggest highlights of this first round? (1) Going out in the field with a FEMA photographer Patsy Lynch and riding around in a fire truck to view the disaster areas in Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs…then riding up to the top of a one of the peaks in Manitou Springs and experiencing a spectacular view of Colorado. (2) Going to a concert in the heart of Denver and exploring the city.
9. What have you learned since the start of this program? To be patient, to be a good listener, to think outside the box, to be on time, to be more caring of others and to care more about myself.
10. What do you think could be better next round? Being able to cook more instead of dining out a lot.
11. What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced/overcome? The biggest challenge I have faced/overcome is constantly being around the same people every day and making decisions with a group. I was used to have a lot of free time before this program and making my own choices, but now I have adjusted and enjoy working with a group for the most part. It helps that I have a great team!
12. Where would your dream next round be? My dream location for next round would be California! I have never been to Cali and I would enjoy being someplace warm during the winter and seeing new sites.
